The IK Metrology Laboratory deals with calibration and verification of mechanical, electrical and electronic measuring instruments, in particular:

• Provides services in the field of calibration and verification of length measuring instruments, verification of flaw detectors and masters to them,
• Provides services in the field of calibration and verification of measuring instruments for control of electrical quantities,
• Effectuation of measurements and expert reports in the area of rolling stock and permanent way  metrology and flaw detection,
• Development of new measuring techniques, design of new instruments, equipment and devices for control of rolling stock and the technical condition of permanent way,
• Development of new measuring techniques, design of new instruments, equipment and devices for control of rolling stock and the technical condition of permanent way,
• Provides services and consultancy in the field of quality control service organization as well as flaw detection control service operation,
• Development of measuring instructions for rolling stock as well as technical instructions for flaw detection tests on rolling stock and permanent way
• Organization of training courses on workshop metrology and measurement of the rolling stock and permanent way.
