EC CERTIFICATION OF RAILWAY INTEROPERABILITY CONSTITUENTS AND INTEROPERABLE RAILWAY SUBSYSTEMS

EC certification of railway interoperability constituents and interoperable railway subsystems

Since 2007, the Railway Research Institute (then CNTK - Railway Scientific and Technical Centre) as  Notified Body No. 1467 in reference to EU Council Directives 96/48/EC and 2001/16/EC has been carrying out certification in this area.

In March 2011, the Railway Research Institute was recognized Notified Body No. 1467 in reference to EU Council Directive 2008/57/EC on the interoperability of the rail system within the Community. The Quality and Certification Centre conducts certification of railway interoperability constituents and interoperable railway subsystems in compliance with Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSIs).

The certification procedure of conformity of railway interoperability constituents and interoperable railway subsystems begins with the submission of the filled in application forms in the Quality and Certification Centre .
