International conference on “Interoperability and Safety Problems in Rail Transport in Poland and Germany”


 

On the day prior to the official opening of the InnoTrans fair (19.09.2016), the Railway Business Forum (RBF), Kompetenznetz Rail Berlin-Brandenburg, the Department of Trade and Investment Promotion of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, with the cooperation of the Railway Research Institute (IK) organized an international conference on “Interoperability and Safety Problems in Rail Transport in Poland and Germany”. Representatives of the European Union Agency for Railways, national authorities in Poland and Germany responsible for rail safety, i.e. Office of Rail Transport (UTK) and Eisenbahn-Bundesamt (EBA) as well as institutions engaged in railway development and cooperation between the two countries participated in the event. The Railway Research Institute was represented by Dr. Marek Pawlik, the Director for Railway Interoperability, who made a speech on “Interoperability and Intraoperability – Transition Challenges”.
