IK at Polish Pendolino presentation
On the 28th of May 2013 representatives from Instytut Kolejnictwa were present at the presentation of the most modern trains for PKP Intercity, held at the National Stadium Conference Centre in Warsaw.
The Minister of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy Mr Sławomir Nowak, the Under-Secretary of the State at the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy Mr Andrzej Massel, the Management of the PKP Group Companies and also Mr Andreas Knitter (Senior Vice President North and Central Europe and Africa, Alstom Transport) were participating in the event.
The Polish Railway Institute (Instytut Kolejnictwa) will be leading the Pendolino trains' testing in the scope of compliance with the requirements of Polish legislation and Polish infrastructure. The final result of this research is the acceptance of the Office of Railway Transport of placing Pendolino trains in operation in Poland.
